GETTING A WEBSITE - PROCESS OVERVIEW

Either way, it's important to do it right the first time. A Joomla site is affordable, it's feature-rich, and best of all, you can manage it yourself!

I am looking for clients that value excellence and professionalism. I can help your company enhance its visual corporate identity and brand equity through a creative, compelling web site and Internet presence.

My website design and development process is divided into stages. The fee for each stage of work is payable in advance. It acts as a retainer, and is refundable if you are not satisfied. This keeps the risk low for everyone. Right at the beginning, I will post your site at a temporary web address so you can go there whenever you want to take a look and monitor what's happening.

THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING YOUR SITE IS BROKEN INTO 3 PHASES:

PHASE 1.  DISCUSSION & PROPOSAL – This is where you and I talk together about what you want your website to look like, and what functions you want it to have. This can be done by phone, email or we can meet if you are in the area.

PHASE 2. CONTRACT & RETAINER FOR DESIGN STAGE - Your website is designed in stages. I will provide you with a written contract that breaks the site design process down into groups of tasks, with a logical division so that you and I can both tell for certain when a stage is finished.

PHASE 3. STAGES OF SITE WORK - The number of stages it will take to build your site depends upon how complex your site is. The first stage is always Design, where you and I work together to get the appearance and navigation of your site working just the way you want it to. I want you to LOVE your site, and I need your ideas and feedback in order to create exactly what you want. This stage requires a lot of give-and-take. The remaining stage(s) involve the addition of content and tweaking of the site to get it functions exactly as it should.

Your role in the process

The process of designing and developing your website is not just a project for me - it's a project for you, too!  I will need you to provide me with the information you want on your site.

Handing over control of your website to you

Once your website is completed and you have indicated that you are satisfied, I will hand over control of your new site to you. I will provide training and support to make sure you understand how to manage things.
